The Dual-Strike Nerf Blaster launched in the Spring of 2016 as part of the N-Strike Elite series, offers double the action and twice the fun. This single-fire blaster is equipped with an innovative plunger system that allows it to launch both Elite and Mega Darts simultaneously, thanks to its intelligent air restrictor system. Positioned vertically in the same manner as the Mega ThunderBow, Elite Darts are loaded into the upper barrels while Mega Darts are placed in the lower ones.

Design and external features

The Nerf N-Strike Elite DualStrike blaster brings back memories of the old Nerf Mega Magnus, yet with a few subtle differences. Both sport a similar body shape and are almost the same size, yet the Dual-Strike is thinner and lighter than the Magnus. It almost looks like somebody took the handle from an Elite Triad and put it on the top of the Magnus!

The Nerf N-Strike Elite DualStrike is truly a revolutionary blaster. With a simple flick of the aptly named selector switch on the right side, you can alternate between firing Elite darts or Mega darts without having to empty either ammo type. How cool is that?

First, load the DualStrike blaster with any combination of darts – 3 Elite darts and 3 Mega darts – to begin. Remember, the smart air restrictors won’t fire unless a dart is in the chamber. Next, adjust the selector switch depending on the type of dart you wish to shoot – either “Elite” or “Mega.” Next, pull the priming rod handle back fully and lock it into place, then pull the trigger to fire! Make sure to prime and trigger pull each time you want to fire again.

The moment you open a Dual-Strike, a vast number of air release holes catch the eye, allowing the legal firing of Elites and Megas alike. A second set of holes through the barrels keeps the two at equal power – without these, the first shot would be the strongest and the last shot the weakest. Even the plunger tube has slits to dramatically reduce its effective length. By simply patching up every crack and crevice with e-tape, you’ll get a noticeable performance improvement – Elite discs can easily soar more than 15 meters, while Megas usually reach 12-13 meters.
