Overview of the Nerf N-Strike Elite Dual-Strike Blaster
The Dual-Strike Nerf Blaster launched in the Spring of 2016 as part of the N-Strike Elite series, offers double the action and twice the fun. This single-fire blaster is equipped with an innovative plunger system that allows it to launch both Elite and Mega Darts simultaneously, thanks to its intelligent air restrictor system. Positioned vertically in the same manner as the Mega ThunderBow, Elite Darts are loaded into the upper barrels while Mega Darts are placed in the lower ones.
This blaster boasts a single tactical rail atop its body, a perfect accessory for any blaster enthusiast!
Key features of the blaster
- The cutting-edge blaster comes with three Elite Darts and three Mega Darts.
- The blaster allows you to effortlessly switch between Elite Darts and Mega Darts.
- It fires Fires one dart at a time.
- N-Strike Elite Dual-Strike features a tactical rail.
Design and external features
The Nerf N-Strike Elite DualStrike blaster brings back memories of the old Nerf Mega Magnus, yet with a few subtle differences. Both sport a similar body shape and are almost the same size, yet the Dual-Strike is thinner and lighter than the Magnus. It almost looks like somebody took the handle from an Elite Triad and put it on the top of the Magnus!
How does the blaster work?
The Nerf N-Strike Elite DualStrike is truly a revolutionary blaster. With a simple flick of the aptly named selector switch on the right side, you can alternate between firing Elite darts or Mega darts without having to empty either ammo type. How cool is that?
First, load the DualStrike blaster with any combination of darts – 3 Elite darts and 3 Mega darts – to begin. Remember, the smart air restrictors won’t fire unless a dart is in the chamber. Next, adjust the selector switch depending on the type of dart you wish to shoot – either “Elite” or “Mega.” Next, pull the priming rod handle back fully and lock it into place, then pull the trigger to fire! Make sure to prime and trigger pull each time you want to fire again.

Pros and Cons of the Nerf N-Strike Elite Dual-Strike Blaster
- Well-designed priming rod
- The blaster comes with elite and mega whistler darts.
- It is easy to switch between Elite and Mega darts.
- The blaster features tactical rails that allow you to add various attachments.
- The blaster presents a lot of opportunities for modification.
- The design looks plain: Although it is massive in size, it appears to be quite bare. It, unfortunately, lacks in detail – with not much paint to add a splash of style.
- Even though the handle is reasonably sized, the handle has a somewhat sharp edge, making it slightly uncomfortable to the touch.
Dual-Strike Blaster Mod
The moment you open a Dual-Strike, a vast number of air release holes catch the eye, allowing the legal firing of Elites and Megas alike. A second set of holes through the barrels keeps the two at equal power – without these, the first shot would be the strongest and the last shot the weakest. Even the plunger tube has slits to dramatically reduce its effective length. By simply patching up every crack and crevice with e-tape, you’ll get a noticeable performance improvement – Elite discs can easily soar more than 15 meters, while Megas usually reach 12-13 meters.
1. How does the Nerf N-Strike Dual Strike Blaster work?
Load up the Dual-Strike blaster with all six darts and decide between Elite and Mega. With a firm tug of the handle, your blaster is ready to fire! Unleash Elite darts for pinpoint accuracy, or launch the Mega darts with a swift pull of the trigger for maximum firepower!
2. How good is the dual strike?
The DualStrike may not be a beauty pageant winner, but it’s an innovative blaster that combines both incredible performance and a unique concept. Instead of just firing either Elite or Mega Darts, it has 6 barrels that can simultaneously hold 3 of each dart type – giving you the best of both worlds!
